Group stage over, demos for 3 groups available
The Group stage in GameGune's 2008 Quake 3 tournament is over and now 8 players, two best from their groups, will advance to a BO3 system play-off. Also three demo packs for 3 groups are available for download.

The Group stage in GameGune's 2008 Quake 3 tournament is over and now 8 players, two best from their groups, will advance to a BO3 system play-off. Also three demo packs for 3 groups are available for download.
just moments ago, Group D finished it's final matches with Anton 'Cooller' Singov vs.Fernando 'dOce' Carmona and Sebastian 'Spart1e1' Siira vs. Ismael 'Sl1p' Rivera, where the Swedish and Russian players came on top.
Without doubt, so far today's most interesting match was between Anton 'Cooller' Singov and Sebastian 'Spart1e1' Siira. The first map was pro-Q3DM6, and from the looks of it Cooller was sleeping as Spart1e showed no mercy and destroyed his opponent 20:6.
The second map was no-DM9, but unlike in the first map Cooller didn't give up and even after losing 1:13!! he made an excellent comeback to 13:13, pushing the game into overtime. But like every story comes to an end, he couldn't stop Spart1e from getting the first kill and his overtime win 14:13.
Now the tournament has entered Double elimination with BO3 match system and if the tournament schedule is right the games should restart at 14:30 CET.
