Russian elite stumbles upon the ESWC rulesets

ImageThe former DotA team of Virtus.Pro which lately signed with Kingsurf won't be seen in San Jose this year. Player issues prevent the winner of the Russian national qualifier from flying to the largest event this year.

'LighOfHeaven', part of the former VP.DotA team signed a contract with Rush3D while his team signed with Kingsurf.

This would be no problem for the rest of the new international squad of Kingsurf, but the problem is that according to the ESWC ruleset a team needs to have a minimum of three players in the finals who played during qualification with this team before.

With only 'vigoss' and 'Jolie' swapping from Virtus.Pro to Kingsurf and 'LightOfHeaven' playing for Rush3D now the international squad of Kingsurf is not allowed to take the already won tickets to San Jose.

The fourth player of the former Russian DotA domination team 'Blowyourbrain' is still underage and due to this not a part of the potential line up in America.

LightOfHeaven regrets the situation but he did not know that his transfer to Rush3D could harm their appearance at the ESWC Grand Finals. According to the Kingsurf website he would have not changed his team if he had known this before.

The newly formed Ks.int (Kingsurf international) does not want to give up hope, but in fact it looks like they will have no chance to compete for the biggest title in competitive DotA.
