The voting however is not a public vote as it was last year, the winners will now be determined by a jury called "The Academy" which will be "comprised of star players, opinion leaders, eSports Award winners and other people from the eSports industry" .
Last year's joint winner Michal "Carmac" Blicharz returns to the list of possible nominees once more, this time under the SK Gaming flag for his article Paupers will be Kings.
Lawrence "Malystryx" Phillips who was also nominated last year for his piece "Is eSports becoming boring?", joins the shortlist, this time for his column entitled eSports Journalist: Quality over Quantity.
Richard "_evan" Armstrong who missed out on the nominations last year has come a long way is one step close to earning himself a nomination this year for his blog entitled What's an alias worth?
Meanwhile the latest addition to our writing staff wordsmith Michael "Zechs" Redford was the fourth writer to be in with a chance for a nomination for last week's installment of the Zechs Files, Vultures? What Vultures?

But still voted for him ^^
Even if I don't think the relationship between economical slump > video games rising to the top is *so* obvious...
They actually create articles with great content.
I vote carmac anyway.
anyway if you have time, why not take a look,im sure article like this:http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=73114 is better than most nominated articles above (no offense),and there are more.
my sk vote went for maly
When the vote polls get opened, it's just a fame issue, not about quality anymore.
Filip Hansson's article differs clearly from the rest. It's really nice.
>_
Worked for me xD
Nice to be called a 'wordsmith', though. Even if it is on the site i write for ;D
Without Carmac the video-interviews would be boring!
it's just like reading some nerds blog... load of random crap with long words
Oh and btw, it Zechs, not Zech's - like the number six in German.
I've only ever had to look up one word in while reading a gaming column and that was 'zeitgeist' in an Edge column by biffo. If I didn't like the column then I learnt something new anyway, think of it that way.
The internet is so fucking lazy it's unbelievable, tailoring content for the lowest common denominator isn't the way to go. Buying a newspaper or visiting a website is a statement of intent, you've said I want to read something and no, being able to comment isn't a right.
