Yesterday the evil genius of the American team who's team goes by the same name striked once more. SK-Gaming had a short talk with Hassen 'Remstar' Bahr of Team EG.

Remstar, player of EG.DotA is part of this team since the very beginning now. He even knows his mates from their former teams, because most of team EG played for eMazing Gaming before.

The first question was about their picks and bans before the game and Hassen 'Remstar' Bahr also gave us some hints about their strategy.

"We developed the strategy in question a while ago, and we decided to play it when Jacob 'Maelk' Toft-Andersson, the captain of MeetYourMakers, stated in some interviews that he would not ban Syllabear once again.

He did it before because he seemed to fear the play of Matthew 'DOGKaiser' Knizacky's Syllabear, who had some nice actions in this time.

"When we found out that backdooring is not forbidden in this tournament, we had another argument for picking the Syllabear stategy."
We also made some research on the regulations, and when we found out that backdooring is not forbidden in this tournament, we had another argument for picking the Syllabear stategy.

In the end it fit very well, and with picking Chaos Knight we rounded this way of playing - they are both very powerful in getting buildings down fast."

The American player went on to answer a question about what they will do to prepare for their upcoming matches

"Whisper told me that you are going to upload all the replays on the SK-Gaming site, so I think we are going to check out our opponents tactics by watching and dicussing their games.

We also have planned another impressive strategy, but we are not sure if we can use it in these games. Its not so well trained at all, and we never used Undying in a competitive game. But anyways you should try to check out if we did it when the games are played."

SK-Gaming went on to ask Remstar if the American teams, in particular EG think that they have a disadvantage because of playing competitive games regularly versus European teams in leagues or tournaments.
"
Basically we don't think that it is a huge disadvantage for us to not compete in the same events all the time.We are all experienced gamers, and we proved that we are a pretty strong teams when it comes of offline events.

Americans always suffer from the delay, what is not easy to take if you try to play tactics with a large need of the right termination, but I think we even get used to play under this circumstances. It's something we cannot change, so we better acclimatize with it.

"We are still a bit disappointed that MeetYourMakers did not invite us into their PDL"
But in fact we are still a bit disappointed that MeetYourMakers did not invite us into their PDL. It would be both fun and serious competition, as well as an honor, to play this league. It's just like most of the worlds supposed top teams play there, but we were not asked."

The last important question was about the possible clash of their team and SK-Gaming in a final game. To understand this, you need to know that even the game for the third place will be important if EG can make it into the grand final, because they already have won their spot for the finals and so the winner of the lower final will get the autoberth if the Evil Geniuses can make it into the grand final.

"I think SK-Gaming is something like our private Nemesis in the close past. They beat us in Sweden (Dreamhack Summer 2008), and they did not just win the game, they dominated us through most of the game. So we hope to get our chance for a payback tomorrow. We will give our best to beat TeG, and hopefully SK-Gaming can defeat MYM so we get our chance to balance our statistic in finals versus them.

We have watched SK-Gaming this tournament whenever we could, and we noticed they are in a pretty awesome shape - just like we are. We want to beat them this weekend in Paris, and it would be supreme to play and win against them in San Jose too.

We are pretty confident to win two important games tomorrow, and we hope that all goes like we suppose it to."
