As the ESWC Masters is single elimination four players are already out of the run-in, for June "Lyn" Park, Seo Woo "Reign" Kang,Manuel "Grubby" Schenkhuizen and Mykhaylo "HoT" Novopashyn the journey ends here.

June 'Lyn' Park ran into trouble in the form of fellow Korean Du Seop 'WhO' Chang losing 2-1 and HoT, another play to finish with 12 points in the groups lost 2-1 to Yoan 'ToD' Merlo. With Xiaofeng 'Sky' Li taking care of Manuel 'Grubby' Schenkhuizen 2-0, Sky moves onto face ToD once again who he defeated in the group stage.

Meanwhile team-mate Seo Woo 'ReiGn' Kang played on the mini-stage versus Jae Ho 'Moon' Jang who adopted his mass expand + Beastmaster strategy every game. The second game was particularly interesting with Moon refusing to give up on Twisted Meadows as he tried desperately to expand with only a Beastmaster and a few units left but to no avail.

The final game was cross map on Turtle Rock with Moon going for an expand on the orange turtles in the middle and Reign did well early game keeping track of Moon's movements. However with Moon's expo up and running, Reign was unable to stop it due to delaying tactics by Moon to secure its construction.

The defining battle came near the orange turtle creep camp near Reign's base where Reign chose an extremely bad time to fight, with his Lich stuck behind the creeps and dryads picking off his gargoyles. Reign with no town portal, lost his Lich but eventually escaped to live another day but the fatal blow came when Moon charged into Reign's base with only his Level 6 Beastmaster and used stampede to kill all of his Reign ziggurats, which got a warm round of applause from the crowd.

The tournament now enters double eliminations for the semi-finals and these are the matches for the next rounds.
