Xiaofeng Li the two-times winning WCG champion, has made an excellent start to the ESWC Masters defeating his main competition for first place Yoan 'ToD' Merlo.

"The first game was silly, the second dumb, the third was good" explained HotLips the WE manager who believed the first two games were lost due to stupid mistakes.

"First game, was Sky's mistake, he went for MK first on EI with ToD going for AM" says HotLips "Both players had second bases but when Sky tried to go tier 3, ToD pushed his expo with AM and Panda and Sky could not militia to the expo because he needed the wood".

The game then moved onto to Turtle Rock where "Sky simply had a better economy, expanded mid-game on one of red creep camps" says HotLips cooly and calmly, "Third game was much better, Sky finished the game off with a nice surround on ToD's Archmage who did not have a tp".

Sky now has the maximum points possible for his group finishing first with 12 points with ToD finishing 2nd. June 'Lyn' Park had a similar run of form to Sky defeating another former-4K player and his main competitor Manuel 'Grubby' Schenkhuizen.

Lyn won his group in straight sets, but he was not a walk in the park, "The group was not easy," says Lyn, "there were two good orc players but I was pretty calm when I was playing which helped a lot".

So the four players from Group A and B to progress to the playoffs are Grubby, Sky, Lyn and ToD.
