Turtle Entertainment, the company behind the Electronic Sports League (ESL) and its various offspring like the ESL Pro Series and WC3L has published a thirteen point plan answering some of the fundamental questions about eSports.
Jens Hilgers, founder and CEO of Turtle Entertainment GmbH (right).
The thirteen point PDF covers four pages of eSport relevant statements and questions. The document is a combined effort from the company and has been published on the ESL website and released as a PDF.
While the document is heavily focused on the ESL itself as a resource for statistics and figures, it remains relatively light and general in information.

You can download and read the four page document here (PDF).

"eSports is a social activity
390,000 different teams are active in the Electronic Sports League. They compete to find the best teams and players. ESL Gather, aiming to connect different players for training in teams, is one of the most frequented ESL matchmaking tools."

"eSports boosts fitness and teamplay
Clans (the teams) are the foundation of eSports. Fierce rules provide clear regulations in the specific leagues. Professional teams huddle before games for motivational and tactical purposes."

"eSports raises your testosterone levels permanently, inevitably making you own at life."
People that play sports act like kids too, so do politions and many other people.
Its the minds of kids that will save the world you know.
Or atleast Billy Talent says so.
You know, on readmore, the biggest german esport scene site, they all say that esl sucks. thats why they post the same shit here. They wont ever accept the fact that Turtle has done a lot for the esport, more than any G7 or esport organization will ever do :D
Readmore has completely different readers base, majority of them being german, they are better introduced with ESL and well aware what exactly and how much has ESL done for Esports, which in my opinion is simply a lot. Too much to be swayed by some lame comments period.
