The latest stable release of DotA Allstars, v6.52d, has some problems with the new WarCraft 3 patch: the runes will not spawn correctly if the patch is installed on the computers.
Blizzard's newest patch puts the people behind the ESWC up against a dilemma. If they choose to use the new WC3 patch for DotA, the new version of the game by IceFrog might not be out in time and the tournament will be ruined.
Using the latest patch for the WC3 tournament could cause unforseen difficulties and delays, but not using it will make it difficult for the players to properly practice.
The ESWC Masters tournament will start on Saturday so the organisation is pressed for time. The decision on which patches to use for DotA and Warcraft 3 will probably be made tonight.
