The same hall that serves as the venue for the WWI this year was the home for the ESWC Grand Final in 2007. It looks is very different this year and the atmosphere inside has Blizzard written all over it. Both floors of the hall are used for various booths and three stages where the action will be shown. And you could almost smell the people's excitement in the air.

The esports players that were invited here are one of the most important parts of the show. The players were the first to be introduced. The WWI gathered the world's best in StarCraft, Warcraft 3 and World of Warcraft PvP.

One could easily tell which game has got the youngest professional scene. The WoW players seemed to have felt out of place and on stage. This will change in the future, no doubts, but was amusing to see nonetheless.

Then came Diablo 3. Yes, a second sequel to the game that created the action RPG genre in video cames is now official. Blizzard showed us a good glimpse of what Diablo 3 will look like and from what we have seen here... IT ROCKS.

The presentation featured the classic Diablo Barbarian class and also a new one, the Witch Doctor. From what was shown, the feel of the game is the same but... oh man, times have changed. The game seems quite the same - it is still simple and brutal. There will be new things, of course. Enhanced player control or interaction with the environment will be some of the things you will see.

But the looks... oh it looks so sweet. Just watching the Diablo 3 presentation makes you want to rip through thousands of ghouls and other minions again. Mom, I think I am 13 again. The presentation ended with a big fight with a boss. Its closure was met with a rapturous applause from thousands of people in the audience.
