Following the replacement of Fly100% by XlorD, Blizzard have announced new brackets for the WWI set to commence tomorrow.

The Blizzard Worldwide Invitational will take place in Paris and with a replacement for Fly100% found and brackets finalised, it looks set for an interesting tournament.

As we informed you yesterday, XlorD was the replacement found and Blizzard saw it fit to alter the brackets slightly in light of this.

The brackets are best-of-3, double elimination with the first round matches of June 'Lyn' Park vs Jae Ho 'Moon' Jang and Xiaofeng 'Sky' Li vs Manuel 'GrubbY' Schenkhuizen remaining unchanged.

However Kim 'SaSe' Hammar will now face Dae Hui 'FoV' Cho instead of Fly100%'s replacement Daniel 'ixi' Spenst, who will play Yoan 'ToD' Merlo in the first round.

added, its not specific, shame actually from the http://eu.blizzard.com/wwi08/streams.xml, Blizzard schedule, it seems Warcraft3 is never on main stage, only WoW and Starcraft.

kinda nice that it's not ud mirror after all. This is better I think. Though XlorD as replacement.. I guess they had to find some european on short notice..

well imo skys bracket is much easier now, xlord shouldnt stand a chance against anyone exept sase, i gues its going to be sky moon for the circa 100 time in a wc3 1on1 tournament final.

The brackets are actually worse now as there's less skill in the lower bracket (theoretically).

Lyn vs Sase
Moon vs XlorD
Sky vs Grubby
ToD vs FoV

Something like the above would've been much fairer, equal number of Europeans on both sides and we don't have to see Sky playing Moon too early.
