SK Gaming announce the arrival of Daniel 'L-KING' Luther, the second former SPEED-LINK player in as many weeks.

The former Call of Duty 2 star played for two of the biggest names in the CoD scene, Team SPEEDLINK and TEK-9 Networks, dominating the international scene with the latter, picking up the sole World Series of Video Games (WSVG) Dallas stop in 2007.

The German joins after a long spell away from the franchise and is “really looking forward to this new challenge”. He played with Dignitas at the Championship Gaming Series (CGS) European Qualifier and Draft just over a month ago, replacing Chris 'blackmane' Kinnair who was ineligible to play due to age restrictions on the event. The team finished second, losing to fnatic in the final.

Admitting that the team hasn't performed as highly as expected in the last few monthes, 'L-KING' is “totally convinced of their potential”, as is team manager Enrico 'Fuchsstute' Ausborn, who looks forward to “ reaching the number one spot in Europe”. He believes the new signing is “very motivated to get the same success as he had in CoD2” and will help the team with his “experience in offline events”.

'L-KING' admits he got the wrong impression of the players, “I've known these guys from Outpost On Fire 2 (OOF2) LAN and I was skeptical. They seemed a strange bunch of guys, but after a few conversations, my initial impression was wrong.”

He along with 'Fuchsstute' believes there had been a major obstacle preventing the team performing properly, “caused by circumstances which won't appear again” and he's confident that “we will surprise some people at LAN.”

The team played their first match on Sunday, losing the final of the Packed Bell iPOWER Germany qualifier against Team SPEEDLINK, 13 – 11 on both mp_backlot and mp_strike. A close result considering their reshuffled lineup, as well as SPEEDLINK's recent form, winning the first game of their Clanbase Eurocup final against H2k.Thermaltake only days earlier.
