Controversy strikes again in EuroCup

ImageLast night one of the most controversial EuroCup competitions to date was brought to an end when SPEED-LINK defeated H2k in the grand final - at least that's what we thought!

The German team successfully defeated H2k over two maps and the community believed that they were the official EuroCup winners, however according to Clanbase rules they aren't quite there yet. It would appear that for the team to win the competition they must win two matches against H2k and not just two maps, which was believed to be the case.

Throughout the duration of the competition Clanbase has made some controversial decisions including banning Michael "Mick" Bradshaw from the competition and then removing his team; Dignitas because Bas "SKO" Dirks was using a different Punkbuster GUID than the one he registered. These decisions seem easy to make, but Dignitas claims to have proof that it was in fact Dirks playing, there in lies the controversy.

A date has not yet been set for the second match of the final, apparently SPEED-LINK and H2k are to arrange a date themselves.
