DreamHack finished, MYM wins WGT
Last night the Grand Final of the WGT tournament was played between MYM and roccat. The match was played until 4am to decide the winner of this years DreamHack Summer.

Last night the Grand Final of the WGT tournament was played between MYM and roccat. The match was played until 4am to decide the winner of this years DreamHack Summer.A lot of exciting matches have been played at this years DreamHack Summer 2008, the WGT tournament, but also ESWC Sweden National Final. All-time favorite fnatic was beaten twice by SK Sweden and got knocked out of the WGT in Round 1 already.
The last day had hours of delay until all the matches were finished and the Grand Final started at 2:30 CET last night. Still both teams, MYM and roccat were on top of their game, and played a thrilling match. The first map was close with MYM winning 16-12 on de_nuke but the second map, de_train, was even closer going into overtime.
In the end, MYM managed to take down roccat with 19-15 in overtime once again winning an event after a few disappointing results. MYM played amazing throughout the whole weekend and deserves their 1st spot as well as the 6000€ prize.
The third place decider match does not seem to be played yet and it is also not sure if it is going to be played at all. Below you can see the final standings of both, the WGT and ESWC Sweden.

it always sucky to host 2 events in the same lan... The french ESWC Finals are also gonna be fucked up cause of the ESWC Masters which are hosted at the same place and at the same date...
MYM is definitely back on track and fnatic wasn't at its best shape ... Roccat seems to be stronger than with Lurppis and SK is still increasing ! Can't wait for ESWC Masters / ESWC / Gamegune :)
It is very nice to see Roccat 2nd!! Anyway i thought that i would see SK or Fnatic as winner!
