Wanted to know if your local Swedish CS mix can participate in the GamePlayTV League with a prize fund of more then $400,000? This and more in the interview with Daniil "GPLTV.Graver" Katsnelson.

Graver a is twenty-one year old journalism student from Moscow who has been playing professional Counter-Strike in the past in such teams as forZe, Begrip and CSKA and now is working as an editor on proplay.ru.

He became the shoutcaster and one of the referees of GamePlay.TV by happenstance after his friend told him that the cable TV/internet channel was looking for new staff. Now he has his own show on the channel and also is the GamePlay.TV League coordinator.

Graver can call GamePlay.TV League his own idea, though many people helped him with the actual project. Every game title has its own professional shoutcaster who is also the referee.

It is known that all participants of the league will be obliged to wear the official clothes of GamePlay.TV. Graver states that the wear can be minimal - caps or wrist bands. It is not yet known.

Q&A session:

Who can participate in the GamePlay.TV?
"Anyone can participate in the league"

Any team or any player from any country of the world can take part in our league. The question here is in money and time, because the actual games will be played once each four weeks, plus the preliminaries will also be played in a specified time. The participants need to be present in Moscow during the games (means once in four weeks), because all matches will be played in a special TV studio and everything will be broadcasted. Teams or players, however can come, play their week and go back to their country, then repeat. We would be glad to see as many foreign participants as possible.

Besides the TV cast, how people will be able to watch the games?

We will of course broadcast the games through HLTV/SourceTV and also WaaaghTV/GGTV as well.
"The King Of The Hill series will also deliver money to the winners"

Which one is better for foreign teams - to live in Moscow all the time or to come for the particular matches?

It's better to stay, but only because of the friendly atmosphere in Russia - ask fnatic, they definitely liked it. There is also another reason to stay in Moscow and that is the "King Of The Hill Series" which will be conducted each week, in which the winner in Counter-Strike 1.6 gets about $1,250 and the winner in WarCraft 3 gets about $250.

Does GamePlay.TV sees itself as a competitor to the Championship Gaming Series?

No, we don't. We don't pay salaries to players/teams/managers. We also do not see ourselves as monopolists on the market. We won't oblige people to play only our league and specialized events.

Do you have an agreement with Valve on broadcasting rights for Counter-Strike 1.6?
"The addition of StarCraft II in the next seasons is quite possible"

Don't worry about the broadcasts - you will all see your favorite teams playing one of the best shooting games ever - Counter-Strike 1.6.

What are your plans for the future?

Establishing the league as serious as possible, pushing StarCraft II as the new league discipline and of course, raising the prize fund.

The registration information and the full press-release in English will be available on the official site this week.
