SK.DotA takes it home for the first time

ImageA few minutes ago, SK.DotA managed to outplay the American players of Team EG, winning the grand final of the Dreamhack Summer 2008 DotA event.

SK.DotA took their opponents down in a flawlessly played game, sending the Americans home without any chance for a comeback this time.

They successfully defended their 1-0 lead from winning the winner bracket final.

SK.DotA took the lead in the game very fast due to picking up first blood in the bottom lane. Tommy 'toMpa' Andersson playing Skeleton King, supported by Joakim'Akke' Akterhall's Lich, was able to kill of the Queen of Pain played by EG.King.

This soon led to a score of 5-1 making it very hard for Team EG to come back. While Team EG was trying to get back into the game they forgot to watch Jonathan 'Loda' Berg who was free farming at the top after moving there from the middle lane.

Sad to say that not everyone was able to watch the whole game, because the streaming servers of Garena broke down after some minutes. Too many people wanted to watch this amazing play of SK.DotA, producing more traffic than the Garena servers could handle.

SK.DotA takes home about EUR 2,900 as the winner of the event, Team EG as second placed get another EUR 1,200.
MYM.DotA took the third place by reaching the looser bracket final, where they lost against Team EG.
