SK Gaming's Karl "fooKi" Johansson seems to be back to top form after a long sabbatical from competitive gaming. He has reached DreamHack's upper bracket final and he will play Magnus "fox" Olsson.Karl 'fooKi' Johansson was not overly confident coming into the event but the results prove that he is one of the very best Quake 3 players in Sweden today. FooKi won his group easily and did not drop a map in the playoffs. He met Felix 'sorax' Nelson and then one of the best new schoolers in Sweden, Sebastian 'Spart1e1' Siira.
Spart1e is said to be one of the favourites to qualify for the ESWC from Sweden but took a total of five frags off fooKi in two maps, losing 38.
fooKi's opponent in the final is one of the best Swedish Quake players in history, Magnus 'fox' Olsson. The seasoned player is also in very good shape and convincingly beat Alexander 'Z4muZ' Ihrfors's younger brother Andreas 'ArrW' Ihrfors to get to the upper bracket final.
The remaining games of the DreamHack tournament will be played on Monday. The detailed brackets and schedule can be found at: DreamHack Summer 2008.
