Huang “TH000” Xiang became the second Chinese Human player who reigned supreme in PGL after a 3-2 defeat of the defending champion Jae Ho “Moon” Jang.
The wNv Teamwork player expressed his desire of keeping the trophy in China right before the final took place and he kept his promise after going through six intensive games.
The 19-year-old was once losing 1-2 and two new maps, which were considered slightly hindering Human, were waiting in front. But he managed to equalise the scoreboard after a successful tower rush at Snow Drop and pushed the game to the last breathtaking round.
TH000 cleverly adapted his Meet Your Makers counterpart’s Beast Master and mass Huntress strategy at Melting Valley. But final usually ends up in a dramatic way. While the game was going all the way on TH000’s side, the power in the stadium went away. However everything was pointing to TH000’s first international title, wNv announced that they accepted to play rematch.
The Chinese starlet demonstrated that he deserved the champion after a dominant performance in regame. He received a prize cheque for $11,600 whilst second placed Moon received $5,800.

On a side note, congrats TH000, really deserved it especially after the unfortunate incident!
contratz TH000 , I really didn`t see that coming.Impressing for sure !
don't generalized things in the way like "chinese can never host an event with fair chances for everyone, they always try to cheat their own chinese players into the gold, just like at ROTK", it makes me feel that you are a racialist.
Talking about the game itself,i think the double elimination before semi-final and single elimination later strategy has no problem.Their system is just like Euro cup 2008, before semi-final is like the "group stage" and later is like "8 to 4" or "4 to 2". And in fact, compare to traditional double elimination system, the PGL system bring us some changes. A secure system for a tournament is not always a good thing.
It evens out in the end .
Bo5 or 2 bo3 like it matters its the same shit. And for me th000 won 4:2 cause the first final game was already won.
And ah......... i see the unbeatable moon lost 2 sky and xiaot earlier this tournament and it doesnt matter if it was in the grpstage or whatever he lost 2 them.
But hey go on crying he should win 2 bo3`s when he won 3:2 2 him what is nearly the same~ i love it t.t
Gogo China!
He should face Sky and Lyn too imo, before suddenly getting to the finals.
I am more impressed with Moon.
He owned all tourney long and only lost to towerrush in finals.
and im not blaming th000, im blaming pgl admins for unfair elimination system
they are talking about the elimination system after groups, not about the group stage system you are talking about.
by the way, he had a second chance.
thats fair enough.
Well played during this PGL season :)
Th000 is better in the final can win $11,600, but not half of them ;o)
