The committee of the Digital Games 2008 has finally announced the official games list of the Digital Games 2008 tournament.

The committee of the Digital Games 2008 has finally announced the official games list of the Digital Games 2008 tournament.Digital Games 2008 is here with an announcement of the official games list, including 6 different game genres and 12 game tournaments. The game tournaments have been divided into two main categories, which are E-Sports and Sponsored tournaments.
The event itself will be held on October, in China as part of the Our Olympic Organizing Committee's welcome events hosted by the China government. Through several qualifiers the best teams and players will be battling for the medals. Search the event website for more regular information.
The First-Person-Shooter (FPS) section features two games, Counter-Strike 1.6 and Call of Duty 4 that topped the public voting. Amongst these, the RTS section has three games featuring Command & Conquer 3: Kane's Wrath, Warcraft III and Warcraft III: Defense of the Ancients. Other categories are Sports, Fighting, Driving and Exhibition.

Soul Calibur 4 - Isnt even out yet, and why take it instead of VF or DOA...every tournament has diferent fighting game, thats strange.
Burnout Paradise - Same, every tournament diferent racing game...
4 sport games - wtf, I wonder how much EA sports paid them.
No quake ,no starcraft, no prize money, and no paid tickets. With airplane ticket cost of about 2000$ per person I dont see many top players participating in it, maybe a few top teams, who have good sponsors, but the rest will be filled with random people who happened to be visiting olympics at that time, so it will be more like exhibition then real tournament :)
