This season’s group draw did not come up with a group of death like last season when Weiliang 'Fly100%' Lu, Jung Hee 'Sweet' Chun, Seong Deok 'SoJu' Lee and Yoan 'ToD' Merlo had their destiny tight in group stage.

Attending the event as fourth seed, Liwei 'xiaOt' Sun got Jae Wook 'Lucifer' Noh in Group A as well as Hao 'suhO' Su and Kejing 'Like' Li who swept their way through the first qualifier.

Two invitees and former Four Kings players Dae Hui 'FoV' Cho and Yoan 'ToD' Merlo got another two qualifiers Hyo Sub 'FoCuS' Eom and Nan 'ForDream' Xie in Group B. Dae Hui 'FoV' Cho defeated Yoan 'ToD' Merlo twice with two 2-0 win last season so it may turn out to be a tough campaign for the Frenchman.

Compared to those two veterans who have attended all three PGL seasons, it will be a fresh start for Hyo Sub 'FoCuS' Eom and Nan 'ForDream' Xie. It is the first time the two have qualified for a major tournament and it will be interesting to see if the young lads are able to produce any damage to their group counterparts.

Defending champion Jae Ho 'Moon' Jang will be playing Weiliang 'Fly100%' Lu, Xiang 'TH000' Huang and Kim 'SaSe' Hammar in Group C. However Jae Ho 'Moon' Jang has claimed lots of clear victories against Weiliang 'Fly100%' Lu in the past and the latter slumped out of ESWC China pre-qualifier, the Chinese Orc player disappointed Jae Ho 'Moon' Jang in last NGL playday and helped his team earn a 4-2 win over Meet Your Makers .

Xiang 'TH000' Huang may not be one of the favorites in this tournament, he is definitely one of the most entertaining players. The wNv Teamwork player always has some creative tricks up his sleeve and will probably pull out some surprises again this time.

Kim 'SaSe' Hammar may have missed his chance to qualify for ESWC Sweden Finals in the first qualifier yesterday, but he is not a player to be taken lightly when it comes to off line events. The Mousesports talent outplayed the “fantasista” Jae Ho 'Moon' Jang in his first international appearance at World E-sports Games and had a great run during PGL’s first season.

The tournament will kick off at 10:00 CET. Each group will take part in the team battle stage as a team. This stage will follow king of the kill and double elimination format. Group A will take on Group B tomorrow whilst Group C and Group D will go head to head later on.
