Jianfei "IefNaij" Wang has defeated Krzysztof "Draco" Nalepka in a five-map TeamLiquid Starleague final, after being 2-0 down. The TSL has probably become the most important StarCraft tournament outside of South Korea with a prize purse of $10,000. Half of it goes to Canada, although it certainly seemed like Draco would take first place.
The Polish player went 2-0 up after winning on Othello and Blue Storm, but then lost on Wuthering Heights, Zodiac and Othello.
"I would've never thought I was going to make it this far," said IefNaij in an interview with TeamLiquid. "I thought maybe 16th-4th at most. I guess I exceeded my own expectations and I'm glad."
Third place went to Pawel "BRAT_OK" Kuznetsov who beat Tyler "NonY" Wasilieski. The top 4 of the TSL were three Protoss players and one Terran (BRAT_OK).
The final standings are as follows:
1) Jianfei "IefNaij" Wang - $5,000
2) Krzysztof "Draco" Nalepka - $2,000
3) Pawel "BRAT_OK" Kuznetsov - $1,000
4) Tyler "NonY" Wasilieski - $500

gg.
well i don't know much about SC but i have read an interview with him and he said that he couldn't stand playing 13,5 hours per day and he was quite "alone" there (he was the only one non-korean player in his korean team and language barrier was very big, especially that he didn't have enough time to learn korean). i am not sure tho :)
i think that almost everyone expected Draco to win this one (previous matches seemed to be very good) but this comeback was really amazing. i hope that Draco will play SC2 from the beginning and pwn everyone :P
GG Draco and congratz IefNaij - 'defining excellence' :D
JF's record with Reavers? 3-0
:)
Congrats JF!
