GZ method and Nihilum.
I did'nt flame anyone, just wrote down some of my thoughts about the game, isnt that what you are supposed to do in forums? I just think it's sad that it takes years to kill a boss :D. You start at the age of 15, and when you're done you're like 20... "WOOPS! where did my youth go?;O". But I guess thats a personal choice of what you want to do with your youth. :)
All is about choice, and what you do in your spare time. Don`t you think ?
Nasda: Do you really think that counter-strikeplayers play as much as WoW-players? To be pro in cs you can play, lets say, 4-5 hours a day as maximum. As a WoW-player, from what I've heard from my friends you need to play for like 10-18 a day. And god knows how much these guys have played to get where they are.
And as an aswer to your "amazing achievements" and "played online for 10 years" comment:
I've travelled alot thanks to the gaming, meeting friends I would'nt have had if I didnt play. Some of them I meet often and goes to lanpartys for fun. I have no "amazing achievements", really funny that comes from a WoW-player actually :D. At -98 I got my first try of cs, I didnt play regurlary. I'm not playing in a highlevel-csclan anymore. And definitly not playing 5 hours a day as I used to. Cant imagine I have even spent half of the time these guys have done on World of warcraft.
And what kind of money is involved in WoW-tournaments? I made a living of cs and I suppose these guys dont, no matter how good they are towards other guilds.
ty.
The only reason why cs players spend less time than wow players do is because WoW is MMORPG which is time-sinking. It is just how it is really. You keep up your aim by playing aim map every day and they keep their gears updated by raiding. I just don't like people who are laughing at people who are playing a game that requires more time spending.
Some people just don't understand the fact and they think that the better guild you are in the more time you spend on WoW. The only "more time spent" for a top-raiding guild is when they are progressing. After that most of them are pretty much playing less than those casuals do. I will just give you an example, several months ago there are lots of guilds which spent only 1 night to clear up Black Temple and Mount Hyjal while some guilds like mine spent 2-3 days and maybe another 1 day or 2 on Serpenshrine Cavern and The Eye because we were not as skilled as they are and there were still lots of people who need loots from those instances while the better guilds had been stop doing those instances for several months.
You get to paid and travel because cs has been in a competitive level for such a long time. Some people from top raiding guilds and top arena teams get to paid and travel too, just not as much as top cs players do and it is only because WoW is not where cs is now.
Will you agree if somebody flames you and says you spend several hours a day in front of a computer and call you a no-life nerds?
And when did wow get released? 2004? 2005?
Lets draw a line between wow and cs: 2 years after the first beta-version of counter-strike were/was(?:o) released there were some very big cs-tournaments, such as CPL-Dallas, ESWC-paris, WCG, CXG and so on.. And where are WoW today? Cant see any big wow-only-tournaments anywhere:S It's just because it isnt a game you can compete in, like cs. That's what keeps me wondered, so much time, for absolutly nothing.
And yes. If someone would have told me 2 years ago I was a no-lifenerd I would have just nod, and said I make money out of cs. If I wouldnt have got a monthly sallary I probably would have quit playing highlevelcounter-strike and started working earlier. But if someone told me today, i wouldnt agree. 4-5 hours a day infront of the computer, maybe playing 1-2 hours playing isnt nerdy at all.
And no, WoW doesnt take 10-18 hours a day if you want to be good. You can play arenas 2 hours a week and be top player.
redrum---------------------------- No I didnt browse, This announcement was on the frontpage, were kind of bored and hey, why not start an argument with some thin-eyed wowplayers?xD
Keep in mind, not all wow players are thin eyed. (ok, ok, 1 % rule applies here also :))) )
You stand up well for the battlegroup Rampage, Method. GL in future
