According to The Korea Times, Korean StarCraft has fallen into a slump with television ratings falling and clubs potentially having to disband due to financial difficulties.

Hanbit Stars, one of the major teams in Korea, is being sold to new owners who have not yet decided about the future of the team. The other worrying piece of information that the article gives is that Ongamenet, the leading esports TV station has fallen seven places down the rankings compared to 2005.

The article's author suggests that the slump Korean gaming has fallen into can be attributed to the lack of a worthy successor to SC. He also worries that Blizzard could destroy the Korean market by charging license fees from KeSPA and television stations.
