The Championship Gaming Series has built upon its announcement of their Pro-Am League, revealing a partnership with Dell’s College Gaming League (CGL), the world's largest college league for computer games. The new partnership will provide members of the CGL with a chance to compete against CGS players; both online and during offline events. Furthermore the CGS will provide the league with public servers and exclusive offers on hardware and games for each of its members.
"We’re very excited to partner with Dell on the College Gaming League. Together, we’ll reach hundreds of campuses in the U.S. and engage a huge number of students to find out which schools have the top players and which of them will have a chance to join CGS as professional gamers. We can’t wait to start scouting the talent," said Andy Reif, CGS Commissioner and CEO.
Those college students lucky enough to win the CGL will recieve a place in the 2009 North American Combine event and an opportunity to be drafted into a franchise.
