AMD European Soccer strikes again! After the invite tournament with 32 players from Europe, now it's time for the four successive ladders, that will be followed on June 15 with the grand final of the tournament.

As a leading CPU manufacturer, AMD started with this entertaining initiative. And now, with the collaboration the World Cyber Games, they announced the AMD European Soccer Challenge 08.

"As National Players compete with each other passionately on Vienna this summer, why all of e-sports players show their passions and compete for the glory of the cyber-field?"

AMD™ will be rewarding players throughout the whole event with numerous prizes making sure that the tournament be remembered as one of the biggest online e-sports soccer events to date. The WCG Grand Finals Referees themselves will be monitoring the tournament operations for this event setting the same standards used during the WCG Grand Finals.

The AMD European Soccer Challenge 08 shall consist of two parts.

1) Four successive 12 day, but independent, ladders based on the ELO ranking system.
2) The FINAL tournament of top 4 players from each ladder season (16 players total) will be held on June 15.

» Second Season: May 8~May 19, Registration ends on May 17
» Third Season: May 20~ May 31, Registration ends on May 29
» Fourth Season: June 1~June 12, Registration ends on June 10
» Final Tournament: June 15
