"Everyone in Funcom is delighted and humbled with the historical pre-order numbers for Age of Conan," Funcom's VP of Sales & Marketing Morten Larssen says at Gamesindustry's website.
"They represent the highest pre-order number for any global launch of an original PC game, ever, including WoW."
Age of Conan's Collector's Edition run will be a hit as well, when Funcom has reserved 110,000 units in total for the customers.

Either way the combat in AoC is much better than WoW as it is not just target, shoot.
