Just a month ago it was announced that Bruno "bruno" Ono, Raphael "cogu" Camargo, Renato "nak" Nakano are returning to Counter-Strike 1.6 after disappointing results of the former team.
Now Made in Brazil's manager seems to be disappointed again after the KODE5 Global Finals which were held at the past weekend. MiBr were eliminated by fnatic in the first round of the Single Elimination and again changes are coming up.
Bruno "bit" Lima is transfered to the second, now first Counter-Strike 1.6 team while bruno, cogu, nak and fnx are switching back to Counter-Strike: Source. This being only four players, they announced the return of an old friend, Carlos "KIKOOOO" Segal is completing the lineup.
You can also find a short interview with KIKOOOO on www.mibr.com.br if you are able to read Portuguese. This leaves the Counter-Strike 1.6 team with six players where one will have to leave soon, you can see the lineups below:
Counter-Strike: Source
Bruno "bruno" Ono
Raphael "cogu" Camargo
Lincoln "fnx" Lau
Carlos Henrique "KIKOOOO" Segal
Renato "nak" nakano
Counter-Strike 1.6
Bruno "bit" Lima
Thiago "btt" Monteiro
Olavo "cky" Napoleão
Norberto "Lance" Lage
Rodrigo "ro" de Souza
Wellington "ton" Caruso

With cky in the 1.6 team this will not work, ever.
Some might say that "cky is good as captain", well, I don't think so, but maybe if he is, what matters if he don't have skill?
Well, gl bit, btt and llingtonwe.
always liked them cause of the exotic touch they added to tournaments where 90% of the topteams are europeans.
but as already mentioned by others, no simpathy left cause of this greedy behaviour.
fnx is like America's f0rest, how could he be a Source player with so much talent for 1.6 ? Pure waste.
Incredibly bad decision, you can't do this only after losing one single tournament, their skill was still crazy and with some training they could have achieved much better in future tourneys...
That has to be annoying going back and forth between 2 games. They feel different to me. How do you expect them to be top team with either game if you keep changing!?
blah -_-

Dreamhack still has to announce the prizes doubt that will be that great, the biggest prizepot in euorpe will happen this year in The Experience with 12.500 but they had to merge A and B tournament due poor sigups.:S (COD4 get double prizepot)i Series barely get 10..000 and stil lhave to see a CSS lan with international teams playign against each other which is a common thing even in COD4 nowadasy (AEF, iSeries, The Experiment )
CSS fan boys shouldnt look at CS they have to compare their game with COD4 that will be bigger once CGS drops CSS for a newer game such as COD4 or a console gmae liek Halo 3.Your game has no future casue is bad, been out for 3-4 years and nowadays COD$ gets better prizepots in LANs across the world, CSS is CGS end of the story.
MiBR will be back once CGS finals are over they di it before they will do it gain
I just wish that after years of 1.6ers hating Source you could all just drop it. Moving from 1.6 to Source is a logical step for any team, the game itself is very similar (yet different) so the learning curve is greatly reduced comapred to learning a new game. Who cares if there in it for the money, I think thats the main reason for starting an esports team.. to run it as a business, generate income and thus pay the owners bills. It may not have been like this in the early days but esports is now into its 11th "official year" and things are getting more and more serious by the day.

KODE 2007 Sweden Final Standings:

6. Sweden da4ce - $435 USD
7. Sweden Skillz of Borås - $360 USD
8. Sweden hippopotamus - $290 USD
ETC
Also in the spanish qualifiers theres was prizes.
Theres not a threat to 1.6 which afterall is a shame would be great to have a new challegue but must be a good game; the game is not ou tof date you just have to looks a the numbers of players. In the other hand Source been out for a good amount of time and is a fact that will never reach 1.6 (amount of players and fanbase)
And afterall MiBR will be back to 1.6 soon so...

Why change the rules if are fine?
And now you agreee with me that CSS is the CGS once the CGS drops the game imagine what will happen.:)
IF the 1.6 teams such as SK, fnatic MYM, mousesports etch ad the chance to make more money with CSS they will be running into CGS arms, dont you think? (SK Cologne anyone?).You have to wonder why they stick to 1.6 and other games, keeping their own organizations.
When you watch 1.6 teams compete at a tournament, you see true passion for the game they compete in and a real desire to win. Money sure does have some sort of involvement in the desire to compete due to the fact that the players have to make a living somehow, but its nowhere near the level of importance seen in players which have moved to Source. From personal observation I see Source teams competing in the CGS and that desire to win isn't as evident, and it's quite obvious that the focal reason for involvement in the league is the paycheque and no foundation can be found in the enjoyment of the game.
