Min Sik "reis" Ko finds time to sit down and describe his journey to Road of the King in Wuhan China and his stay in Korea. Find out which SK player snores, who wore a suit to the airport and more.

Stop-off in Korea

On my plan was ROTK in Wuhan but I decided to go to Korea before the event to visit some of my friends and to do some private stuff.

My flight to Korea was awesome I had 3 seats for myself so I just made myself comfortable and slept almost the whole flight by laying over the 3 seats.

It is always impressive how the country develops and I would recommend you to visit Korea especially Seoul as the city is just crazy, it is crowded but a lot of things to see.

I stayed 4 days in Seoul before I had to take my flight to Wuhan. The evening before the flight to china ReMinD and me met each other at Coex, Coex is a big mall in Korea and very famous.

"I would recommend you to visit Korea especially Seoul as the city is just crazy, it is crowded but a lot of things to see."
It was just me and ReMinD who met each other because the other guys where busy and Lyn for example he doesn't live in Seoul he lives next to Seoul and it would have taken him ages to come to Coex so that is why it was just me and ReMinD.

We watched the movie “ The Forbidden Kingdom”, a film with Jackie Chan and Jet Li, the movie is okay as I love martial art and the actors in the movie but it was kind of boring as the story was not really that exciting but it was fine to watch.

We left each other pretty early cause both of us had needed more than an hour to get home and we had to get up early because of the flight to ROTK.

On the next day we met at the airport first I met ReMinD who was there at the same time like me and then SoJu arrived who was wearing a suit! It was pretty funny because he didn't look like someone who was going to a wc3 tournament, instead he looked like someone who had a business trip going on.

ReiGn and Lyn arrived after and following some comments about SoJu’s choice of clothes we went to check in and get to the plane.

Arrival in Wuhan

After a stop we finally arrived in Wuhan where the MYM guys were waiting for us and some of the Rotk staff members. After an hour travel we arrived at the hotel, it was okay however the only problem was that the women on the reception couldn't speak English at all so it was pretty hard to communicate.

We tried to communicate with gesture and well at the end we got the things we wanted. I shared a room with Losemann in the first place and I was happy that I did not have to share a room with ReMinD because he can snore and the whole team suffered at the last wc3l finals when they slept at my place.

ImageReMinD is the kind of person who just has to close his eyes for a second to fall asleep, he will then begin snoring. However ReMinD told me in China that he does not snoring anymore as he took some medicine against it and he got cured.

"ReMinD is the kind of person who just has to close his eyes for a second to fall asleep."
.Anyway back to Losemann and I sharing a room, it turned out that Losemann snores worse than ReMinD but it gets better, Losemann does not even hear his own alarm.

On the first night, I mean everyone can imagine after almost 5 hours flight and 1 hour sitting in a cab and really hot outside you need to rest.

We had no schedule for the following day because we arrived 2 days earlier in China cause there were no other flights left and what did Mr. Losemann have? He still had 6:30am German alarm call on his cellphone!

The first time when I heard that annoying sound I thought it might be a signal for a short message or something but well that sound did not stop it from keeping on ringing. I tried to ignore it for like 5 min and hoped that Losemann would realise that his cellphone is ringing non stop but no chance that guy was sleeping and did not seem to care about it.

"in the end it was me who woke up at 6:45 am and woke up Moon and later on I woke up Losemann around 8"
So I had to wake up to turn off his alarm.

There was a similar situation with his alarm, he was supposed to wake up Moon at 7 am and put his alarm on 6:45 well in the end it was me who woke up at 6:45 am and woke up Moon and later on I woke up Losemann around 8 cause there was no reason to wake him up earlier because I could not sleep anyway.

The first night we got interviewed by some TV guys, and the following evening all team gathered and did the group drawings. Our group was okay for us but ours looked much harder compared to the other group, but well all 8 teams at Rotk are the cream of the crop and we would face the other teams anyway sooner or later.

The first day of RoTK

On the first day of Rotk we took the bus at around 9am and arrived at the location at 9:20 the location was pretty cool, it remembered me a bit of the Games Convention but it wasn't that huge.

Well when we arrived we couldn't get off the bus cause there were too many people upstairs so we had to wait in the bus which was like in a sauna. After waiting we finally could get upstairs but before that we had to do a security check similar to when you get on a plane which was a bit strange.

ImageThe tournament was on the 7th floor and they had two stages. Both looked cool one was a semicircle the other one was a rectangle. I was impressed by the walls that they prepared with all the team logos on them.

At German events in comparison the only place that shows the team logo is on a banner on a screen but at Rotk they had printed them all and it just looked awesome. They had a lot of volunteers there who were taking care of our needs and who were really nice.
The first day was the toughest day cause the organization was messed up and nobody actually knew the schedule when the games were going to start.

We waited like 6 hours till we played our first game. We were all starving and it was really hot and it took ages to get cold water or something to eat. The war vs MYM ran pretty good at the beginning but than Grubby showed a really great performance and secured MYM the victory with 4-3.

ImageHis game versus ReMinD was awesome, that last raider at the end made the game it was unbelievable how he managed to win it.

So we started with a loss on our first day at Rotk, we were not so happy about it and the performance of each of us was not that good so we told ourselves that we were going improve because we did not come to Wuhan to fail in the group stage.
