ToD had won all his games by the last match and HasuObs needed to win in order to go through to the playoffs from second place. The German won the match 2-1, but the controversy is that both players represent Mousesports and this match should have been ToD's first in the group and certainly not the last.
It is standard procedure for group play to make players affiliated with each other to play each other in the first match. This is done to avoid the possibility of any match fixing and controversy.
The original schedule actually had ToD play HasuObs as a priority but it was changed in order to show ToD's game against TeRRoR on the Kode5 stage. It was due to the admins' negligence that ToD had the option to fix the match.
At this point, it cannot be proven that he did. The Frenchman himself has reportedly quoted tiredness and his opponent's luck and skill as factors that played a role in the match. He denied that he threw the game.
But TeRRoR has got every right to go home upset if not with his opponents, then most definitely with the Kode5 admins.
Right now it is unknown whether or not Kode5 will make a decision to somehow fix the mistake and avoid controversy. The group standings can be found here.
[update:] The group standing stays. TeRRoR is out of the tournament.

Match fixing controversy in Kode5 WC3

Tomasz "TeRRoR" Pilipiuk will definitely go home with the feeling that he got cheated out of the Kode5 playoffs. The tournament administration made a mistake and allowed Yoan "ToD" Merlo to play his final match against his team mate Dennis "HasuObs" Schneider.

How is it 0% team spirit if ToD threw the game to help out his teammate?
Example one: Virtus.Pro being able to listen to the live commentary which was in RUSSIAN only.
Example two: Virtus.Pro being able to see the admin's screen viewpoint of Fnatic.
Example three: Virtus.Pro not playing the full amount of 30 rounds because "they didn't know."
they DO NOT care about rounds result in cs
tod, terror, hasuobs have same points and there is no addintional match between them while there is between fnatic and virtus.pro
all what i have expected from russian event
this is the kind of mistake an amateur tournament organiser would make but i expected more of kode5
KODE5 actually showed they've precautions to prevent 'lameness', but choose to put the viewers and supporters first, and you're still whining, give me a break. There will either have to be a change about how the groups are set up (so no members from the same clan can be placed together) or this will potentially keep happening.
The whine here really doesn't have ll that much substance to be fair.
why do u defend this at all?
Either way KODE5 gets lambasted despite the fact they were honestly trying to do something for the fans by showcasing the best match. None of this whine will do anything and I guarantee the same thing will happen with a different organisation/team/player in another tournament (like I proved with my Sky example).
"Hi, I'm evan and I like to critisize the e-Sports community in my spare time. I tell them that they can stfu because only I know how to prevent teammates helping each other (you are idiots)."
If its cheating, how can you prove it ? Show me any proof, that this was on purpose. Yes, everyone knows it, but nobody can 100% prove it, because there are no proofs. And yes, next time plz think twice before you will post anything. Apologies not needed. :)

Now tell me man where is you logic ?? What the hell is your problem?? Explain please! Really there are 2 options either you can't read or you can't understad what you are reading. For the second time man Please think twice or no this time think 10 times more than usually and then post anything ok ?? I RESPODEND TO THE EVAN'S POST, to be more exact i responded to the "match fixing is good" opinion ok ?? SHOULD I WRITE IT 100 times so you can understand ??
I haven't written ANYTHING ABOUT THE SITUATION MENTIONED IN THE NEWS i just criticized evan.
P.S. I'm tired of reding all this bullcrap about how it is in real life and sports. That match fixing is "normal". This is just plain ridiculous. If it's so and it's normal then where's the sens of competing in the first place. Why the fuck people bet if it's obvious who is going to win ? To sum up: I do NOT say and DO NOT even imply that TOD vs HASU was fixed. I just say NO to match fixing in general and that it is not normal even though it is very common. IT's cheating, it always was and will be. No further comments.
i dont want argue with you, makes no sense for me
ps: my english isnt good, but i can understand and i know, what i am writing. mb i just didnt realize your idea, so i am sorry for that
You need to learn English if you think I was implying that.
""They care about map result in wc3
they DO NOT care about rounds result in cs
tod, terror, hasuobs have same points and there is no addintional match between them while there is between fnatic and virtus.pro" --> 100% right. KODE5 = 0 cohesion"
They're two completely different games in two different genres. I can't understand the whine here what so ever, they finished equal on points (fnatic and Virtus Pro), and they drew each other in the group stages (15-15).
Again another great decision by KODE5, instead of eliminating the local team because they were -4 rounds on fnatics' total by the end of the group stages, they played a decider which fnatic still won.
There's a huge difference between winning an extra map in Warcraft III and having a -4 ratio compared to fnatic in CS.
You've used the wrong word, '0 cohesion' doesn't make any sense in this context.
