Tomasz "TeRRoR" Pilipiuk will definitely go home with the feeling that he got cheated out of the Kode5 playoffs. The tournament administration made a mistake and allowed Yoan "ToD" Merlo to play his final match against his team mate Dennis "HasuObs" Schneider.
ToD had won all his games by the last match and HasuObs needed to win in order to go through to the playoffs from second place. The German won the match 2-1, but the controversy is that both players represent Mousesports and this match should have been ToD's first in the group and certainly not the last.
It is standard procedure for group play to make players affiliated with each other to play each other in the first match. This is done to avoid the possibility of any match fixing and controversy.
The original schedule actually had ToD play HasuObs as a priority but it was changed in order to show ToD's game against TeRRoR on the Kode5 stage. It was due to the admins' negligence that ToD had the option to fix the match.
At this point, it cannot be proven that he did. The Frenchman himself has reportedly quoted tiredness and his opponent's luck and skill as factors that played a role in the match. He denied that he threw the game.
But TeRRoR has got every right to go home upset if not with his opponents, then most definitely with the Kode5 admins.
Right now it is unknown whether or not Kode5 will make a decision to somehow fix the mistake and avoid controversy. The group standings can be found here.
[update:] The group standing stays. TeRRoR is out of the tournament.

THERE WAS A DIALOGUE BETWEEN TOD ANS TERROR AFTER ALL THE AFFAIR. HERE IT IS.
Tod (grinning): Yo, so will you fight for the finals tommorow?
Terror: No, thanks to your machinations with Hasu.
Tod: What kind of machinations? We came to win, not to travel. Me and Hasu, we are earning money and you play for yourself, you understand. You are no professional, so don't be angry.
Terror: Pfff, we'll see how Hasu is going to win tommorow. And your chances are also poor.
Tod: Kid, i am earning money. And i earn more than your whole f*ckin family, so relax. You got no chances in the play-offs.
Terror (smiling): And i can see a little further than my nose. (with accent on "nose")
Tod makes an upset face and walks away.
I know a person, who heard the dialogue and i can SWEAR it is true. Not exact, probably, as i am retelling this, but it is true. I got an icq - any wishers can contact me to discuss it.
ToD: How odd that I get to play my teammate in the final game?
MiddleofNowhere: It was because I bribed an admin to change the schedule..."
See how easy it is make a chatlog?
Get the fuck out.
Whether you can or not is the question.
But it wasn't our desicion, 'cause main admins(they aren't russians) didn't think that we could have such situation. Also we had only 8 computers and 20 players. If we had more computers, I decide re-game Tod-Hasu-Terror, even If main orgas wouldn't have agreed it.
So, i'm really sorry that this kind of stuff happend... But me and my team tried to do our best
http://www.mymym.com/en/thread/4360/2.html post number 56 by mouz.ToD where he CONFIRMS the dialogue. A lot of other (in my opinion) bullsh*t explanations but at least he has enough manners not to deny the whole story.
However it's nice to see that they are alledgedly getting along now.
Made me lol.
"You should know something, before i played against HasuObs i didn't know what the rules were, wether or not it was mapscore or if there is a tie there would be regames.
I didn't even ask admins, i just played.
And also to avoid any confusion i didn't even talk to HasuObs before the game, didnt have a chat with him or made any arrangment.
I just said let's go and we played on. If i won everyone wouldn't question anything but i lost. HasuObs is in my team we often discuss strategies of Human vs Undead, i gave him a lot of replays of me so he knows my style way more than i know his, which made me play some unconventional stuff vs him.
On the EI game some people question my unit choice. I dont remember the game very well, but i remember that when i started producing a lot he had only 1 or 2 destroyers and it didnt look like he was going to get anymore, that's why i didnt mass flying machines, i didnt wanna get 20 flying machines vs 2 or 3 destros, i went full ground hoping the mortars would splash fiends but he did too much hit&run, I blame that lose on my bad early game, i dont know how but for some reason my archmage got stuck in my base, might be because of my arcanne tower position, so i had to waste a TP directly, it wasnt that important in the game itself but just bad for my mind i guess. Then a mercenary got killed and he made a pretty good harass.
After that i didnt think i was winning ever, but thought i had a shot ofcourse.
About the badmannered chat with TeRRoR we both had harsh words yeah, but in the last day we ended up talking friendly and having fun together at the club, so i'm pretty sure things are better between me and him now. We didn't talk any further about the tournament but about other things.
I think he knows i'm sorry for him being eliminated of the tournament, but i dont make the rules nor asked to play last vs HasuObs, i just played when i was told to by the admins, this is one of the rare tournaments where i didnt complain a single time about the rules or conditions, or at least not that i can remember.
Cheers."
