The triple World Cyber Games Warcraft 3 medalist XiaoFeng "Sky" Li has taken part in the Olympic Torch Relay. Pictures inside.

Sky was chosen to be among the ten gamers to be the torchbearers, some of the others being the Warcraft 3 player JaeHo "Moon" Jang and last year's World Cyber Games silver medalist in StarCraft, Junchun "Pj" Sha.

What's the difference between playing chess and playing a RTS game ?

chess is more of a discipline not a sport, chess is pretty boring and has been replaced with real strategy games like warcraft :)

So low? Wtf are u talking about? This is fine imo, why not? Some pc games are really competetive and require skills and hard practice. Tthere is much audience in China and Sky is popular so i dont see how this is bad.

I think "eSports" as an offical sports tournament wouldn't be bad if it was just one sport but there are too many different games for that.
But imo successful and quite famous players can carry the torch although they don't do "physical" sports usually.

I see you don't get the concept of "e-sport" at all...Progamers are athletes, or at least alot of them are ex-athletes in some kind of sport. Even though the average "progamer" is most likely imagined as some kind of "nerd" whom does nothing but sit in a dark room and play the same game all the time, all day. Sure, that might be the case aswell. But in my own opinion alot of progamers are well trained and acctually does things with their physics and lift weights or play some kind of sport etc, in order to feel better mentally and get more focused on the game.

Don't really care how people twist and fumble it around but, If you want to improve in what ever sport you are doing, trying to get into, want to evolve in. Isn't training your own body the best way to do that?

Actually I remember Madfrog once mentioning in an interview while he was still in Korea that he was going to the gym and that helps him by having steady blood pressure and not getting too "excited" during important moments

not only madfrog but people like fatality go for 5k runs everday, toxic goes to the gym 4 times a week, and deus was a pro tennis player while been a progamer. I think progaming is like sports and sort of like studying where you need to concentrate, have a disciplined routine and havea balanced life style.
