Due to schedule conflict with the Intel Friday Night Game, Miou had to sit out the ESWC 2008 Germany Final last week which saw Dennis "HasuObs" Schneider as the first place finisher, seize the only ticket for the Grand Final.

Having one ticket to the Grand Final up for grabs, the ESWC 2008 Germany Role Play Convention assembled five players in Münster. Miou enjoyed a good day in the first day as he proceeded to the overall final with two efficient wins.

Going into the overall final from loser bracket, yAwS had to defeat Miou twice to claim the top place. It seemed Miou already had his hands on the trophy. However, yAwS played exceptionally well in the first bo3 and equalised the total score. Miou did not let the chance slip away from him in the second bo3 and won the third decisive game.

Miou will join his team mate Seong Deok "SoJu" Lee who received an auto berth to the Grand Final as a defending champion in San Jose, USA.
