The German organizers of ESL ProSeries for FIFA decided to close the 1vs1 tournament after this season.The EPS 1vs1 tournament, which already is at the fourth season during the last two years, aside the 5on5 Clan war was one of the most disputed competitions from Germany. A part of the Intel Friday Night Game nearby Counter-Strike, Counter-Strike Source and Warcraft III, this section of the Pro Series has always offered a good show.
The last Finals of the EPS 1vs1 will be held this summer in the EXPO XXI in Cologne between June 6-8.
Just like last December, the EPS Finals city will be Cologne, which is Germany's fourth-largest city after Berlin, Hamburg and Munich, and is the largest city in the German Federal State of North Rhine-Westphalia.

EPS FIFA 5on5 is staying. EPS FIFA 1on1 is closing, but instead a new ESL Sports league will be opened with 80.000€ prize money. So in fact this is a huge step forward.

Dunno if that's good for sport games because this sport thingy might be more attractive for hobby gamers but less interesting for eSports fans than an EPS.
