After losing their COD4 team to Meet Your Makers, TLR (The Last Resort), have received another blow as their Counter-Strike team received another offer from their British competitors, Dignitas.
When the previous Dignitas CS team switched to CGS's Birmingham Salvo, Dignitas decided to leave the scene and focus on other games, such as Call of Duty and the FIFA series. But now after some consideration and to maintain control in the UK's gaming scene, the team have announced that the old TLR.cs team will be joining their ranks.
This certainly is not the first time Dignitas welcome a Counter-Strike 1.6 team, together they have previously engraved their name in the scene with a German team who qualified for the EPS, but didn't manage to achieve much more. Dignitas also had two Danish teams, one of which participated in Kode5, and a rather successful British team who proved themselves in last year's ESWC.
Next month the team will make their first appearance under their new home at the Kode5 Grand Finals which will take place in Moscow, Russia.
"Since our last Counter-strike team had a great ESWC taking 9th but then moving to CS:Source and The CGS we have been unsure if we wanted or needed another CS team or not," said Fredrik 'NewmaN' Reinius in their official statement. "We have had a lot of offers from both 1.6 and source-teams but nothing that felt perfect and that would fit in with our beliefs and standards.
"We have found that in this team and we think our little team and all our squads can help them improve and achieve a lot, but we also think all our squads can learn a lot from them. That's what Team Dignitas is about and we will continue to improve."

Time to start contracting your players. ;)
No salary = contract can be ripped up at any minute, the only things that are worth having contracts for is for things happening whilst the player wants to be contracted i.e. prizemoney shares, image rights etc.
gl boys
They have beaten some good teams, what teams are we talking about?
I bet you know more about that scene then me, I'm just saying (from my point-of-view) that I really don't think they will threaten any of the top teams in the world :D
and they > 4k
4Kings were good before, but that was a long time ago. Isn't the UK scene more in to CGS and Source now?
I know from own experience that praccing against UK teams is hard due to the ping difference. How can the team prepare by only playing against UK teams?
I hope I'm wrong and as I said it would be great if they turn out to become a topteam.
