Eurosport has also received rights for CGS mobile and broadband broadcasts. With this new revelation the 2007 series of the CGS will be broadcast on primetime TV on EuroSport 2 next week from April 28th - May 3rd with the 2008 series to also be broadcasted later this year.

The CGS is already broadcast to the UK and Ireland through the Sky satellite package but with this deal will be "bringing CGS programming to 41 nations in continental Europe for the first time, including France, Germany, Spain and Italy".

According to Andy Reif the Chief Executive Officer and Commissioner for CGS "the deal with Eurosport will introduce CGS to more than thirty million new European households and raise the profile of our sport with the television audience throughout Europe."

With this coup CGS has now acquired not only access to a new host of viewers but also take one giant step to getting eSports accepted as an actual sport.

The addition of Eurosport 2 coverage "will expand the overall reach of televised CGS programming to more than 400 million potential viewers across five continents"
