e-Stars vote faulty but not rigged

Following the news item about the possibility of the e-Stars Counter-Strike poll being rigged, it was brought to our attention that one is able to cast a vote for two, not three teams.

After the French team emuLate surprisingly got to first place in the poll in one day, suspicions arose as to whether the results of the voting are legit.

"We only know French esport websites put some advertising to ask people to vote for us," said Ethan, emuLate's CEO. "People asked guys at their work to vote too, even if they were not involved into esport just because we represent the nation and some of them organized MSN chain to ask for voting."

Our news item about the poll suggested that since the total number of votes cast is not divisible by three, someone may have tried to rig the poll.

When you try to vote for just one team here, there is a popup prompt asking you to pick three teams. However, the system accepts votes cast for as few as two teams. This means that the total number of votes will likely not be divisible by three, rendering the suggestion that the poll was rigged invalid.

We apologise for the mistake, especially considering that it aroused unnecessary controversy around team emuLate.
