Did you expect to meet HopeStar in quarter-finals?

I knew HopeStar was coming to this pre-qualifier beforehand. I did a lot of preparation, however I did not focus on anything because there are too many matches recently and all my opponents are using different races. I just practised a bit against Undead the day before, and I played too stiff in game.

What do you think about this pre-qualifier? Are you satisfied with the rules?

I feel regret at my loss. I won’t be able to qualify for ESWC through Chinese qualification. Compared to previous season, ESWC is doing pretty good regarding to the organization, but there are still a lot to improve. I wish ESWC to become better and better.

Though you were eliminated in pre-qualifier, you can wait for the invitation to ESWC Masters. Will you take part in this special event if you get the chance?

I haven’t decided it yet, but I think I will. My concern is that I have to stay in a foreign country for a long time if I decide to participate and it will be difficult for me to communicate with the others.

While you have outstanding achievements in many international events, ESWC is always a misery for you. Do you know the reason?

Luck is not with me. Undead was too strong in 2005 so I did not take the first place. Undead was still the same in 2006 and I had to play against Lucifer who was particularly good against Human so I lost in semi-finals. I would have had a better shot if I met Zeus. I am pretty sad, but I will keep on improving.

Many people reckon Human are on their way down in the patch 1.22. What is your opinion?

The final patch is not out yet so no comment. I personally hope Blizzard will strengthen Human.

What are your expectations for this years WCG? Who will be your worst enemy?

Though I failed to win WCG three times in a row last year, I hope I can win my third WCG title this year. My past experience tells me that no one should be taken lightly so I think every qualified player is good player.

Anything you want to say to your fans?

Thanks for your support. I am not playing well recently, but I hope that you will keep on believing in me and supporting me. I will do my best to earn more glory for you and China.
