While Gravitas announced the recruitment of Samuli “elfittaja” Sihvonen as the latest addition to their Warcraft III squad yesterday, the player's former team hoorai were ready to take further sanction towards him.Gravitas in the official announcement stated that the 17-year-old "would be leaving his former team of hoorai due to contractual disputes where he feels hoorai has neglected their obligations to him." The Finn was therefore eligible to join any team he would like to.
However, hoorai hold a different point of view towards this incident. The player is still contracted with them in spite of him penning on a deal with Gravitas. Hoorai will hence issue further punishment to their player who is keen to move on.
After both their demand to represent the team while participating in future individual tournaments and his suspension being neglected by elfittaja, hoorai decided to extend elfittaja's suspension to all major leagues by calling ESL as well as G7, according to the management of hoorai.

the intelligent people just relax and laugh
readmore confirms that hoorai doesn't owe elfittaja any money
So for me, the case is clear: elfittaja should not be allowed to leave hoorai without them agreeing, else he should be barred. Maybe, in this situation, it might seem a little bit unclear if contracts should have so much power, but imagine if MYM wants to have Lyn, offers him a Moon-like salary and then he just leaves SK right before WC3L Finals
I hope that G7 helps to sort things out!
#14 Legato
Once again, I find it really hilarious that hoorai is considering taking legal action on this issue. When myself, nilk, pato, naniwa, rukie etc were in hoorai, they failed to make any payments at all to the players and just said "we can't fulfill our side of the contract, sorry!" ... and continued on as if it didn't matter
So now after stomping all over our contracts, a year later they are INSISTING that the player follow his. Yet ontop of this, cbnz seems to assert that hoorai's contract not only has illegal clauses, but failed to make all payments and reimbursements to elfitajja
Guess which side I believe?
and when the CS team Roccat was on hoorai, it was almost the same history. Kinda funny tbh!
im really dissapointed at this, because i thought hoorai wouldnt do false promises again
Pato I don't belive in you you are jus a bad mannered little boy with no clue about whats going on...
Disregard my first post, i didn't actually read who wrote what.
He cannot sign a contract as he is underage. that's why Hoorai asked his legal guardian to sign because his signature alone is void.
and plus how you know in which terms the contract was signed? and because you seem so well documented I'm sure that u were aware of this also:
" * Minors and Contractual Capacity
A minor (typically under 18) can disaffirm a contract made, no matter the case. However, the entire contract must be disaffirmed. The minor cannot keep any of the goods traded for.
Disaffirmance - it must be timely. For example, a contract that goes beyond two years of reaching the age of majority would be considered ratified. Minors are still allowed to disaffirm, even if their age is misrepresented. They will not face tort violations."
and with this is cased closed.. move on.
Im certain that you are aware that some stuff are common in each countries law system. Sure you do got a point I do not know in detail the German law, nor the Finish one but it doesnt mean kunn knows either.
That article in winkipedia doesn't refer at a country in particular but it's about international law. I am sure that everywhere you go in the world there are points which are the same, like.. child protection from any kinds of abuse. (example).
I am curious about that thing with Horrai being an organization and which legal things they will do further :).
I mean, even arguing that Hoorai or their represantative is based in Germany is just useless.
I'm in my 4th semester since a few weeks and this is basic stuff I heard 1,5 years ago. Tell me where I'm vague, I was as exact as I could be given the lack of information and as exact as I needed to be.
Oh noes.. now there isn't an international law?? haha. Is this what you've learned in 4 semesters?
Let me link you to some websites which i would like you to study a little:
http://www.un.org/law/
http://topics.law.cornell.edu/wex/international_law
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_law (i know u have something against wikipedia but it's well explained without using technical terms so much)
http://blogs.law.harvard.edu/internationallaw/
teehee. You know something?, the reason why I know some stuff about law is because i had the opportunity to have a job which touched this field which i also happen to like.
Now let me tell u another thing. It's not so much what you learn during university but personal perseverance and individual study outside uni.
I know you keep looking down on me for some reason or other but I'm not as bigger idiot as you think i am.
What should I care about stuff you learned or think to have learned somewhere in a different country? The German law is rather unique in Europe.
So grab a German law book and then talk. But as usual you are all talk and whine, no substance.
And I agree with them.
