Videogames will change the world, says Electronic Art Sports boss Peter Moore.According to Moore, videogames make people (link via Kotaku) fitter, happier and smarter. Features a person can not achieve at the gym, but directly from own home. Videogames will therefore make the world a better place to live in the future.
Videogames have an important role in the mental and physical health fields, Moore believes.
"Games have a key role to play in health and wellness. People will be able to do things with games in their own houses that they just can't do at the gym. And it's not just about making yourself stronger and healthier but also smarter and happier," Moore says.
"Games have the power to make people happy and to make the world a better place. And I do mean the world, because we are now opening up massive new markets like China and India that will bring billions of gamers."
This topic was on at the MI6 marketing conference in San Francisco this week, where Moore and co. discussed what role videogames will be playing in next 12 years.
