ImageThe Global Finals of the sixteenth season of ESEA League kicks off tonight.

The sixteenth season of E-Sports Entertainment Association's league will begin tonight at Doubletree by Hilton hotel in Dallas, Texas. The tournament will feature eight teams in total, four of which are from Europe and the other four from North America.

The last season was won by the North American team US iBUYPOWER , who managed to defeat FR Titan eSports in double best-of-three challenge in the grand final. More information about that match can be found here.

This season will again feature an All-Stars match in the beginning of the event and since we now have equal number of teams from both continents, we will witness match between European and North American stars, rather than having two captains choosing players from all available teams, excluding their own like the previous season. At the moment the following players are scheduled to participate in the mentioned match:

All-Stars - Europe:
SE Christopher 'GeT_RiGhT' Alesund (Ninjas in Pyjamas)
PL Jarosław 'pasha' Jarząbkowski (Virtus.pro)
SK Ladislav 'GuardiaN' Kovács (Natus Vincere)
ES Jonathan 'MusambaN1' Torrent (OverGaming)
SE Patrik 'f0rest' Lindberg (Ninjas in Pyjamas)

All-Stars - North America:
US Jordan 'n0thing' Gilbert (compLexity Gaming)
US Braxton 'swag' Pierce (iBUYPOWER)
US Josh 'jdm64' Marzano (NetcodeGuides.com)
CA Mike 'shroud' Grzesiek (Open Equal Free)
US Spencer 'Hiko' Martin (compLexity Gaming)

Please note that the All-Stars match is not for entertainment purposes. It will determine which continent will be higher seeded. That will affect the map voting process in favor of the winners of this competition. The map pool consists of the following seven maps:

de_inferno
