ESEA Invite Season 16: Schedule

ImageThe Global Finals of the sixteenth season of ESEA League kicks off tonight.

The sixteenth season of E-Sports Entertainment Association's league will begin tonight at Doubletree by Hilton hotel in Dallas, Texas. The tournament will feature eight teams in total, four of which are from Europe and the other four from North America.

The last season was won by the North American team US iBUYPOWER , who managed to defeat FR Titan eSports in double best-of-three challenge in the grand final. More information about that match can be found here.

This season will again feature an All-Stars match in the beginning of the event and since we now have equal number of teams from both continents, we will witness match between European and North American stars, rather than having two captains choosing players from all available teams, excluding their own like the previous season. At the moment the following players are scheduled to participate in the mentioned match:

All-Stars - Europe:

Please note that the All-Stars match is not for entertainment purposes. It will determine which continent will be higher seeded. That will affect the map voting process in favor of the winners of this competition. The map pool consists of the following seven maps:

June 27th - Friday
23:30 CET – EU All-Stars EU vs. US All Stars NA
01:30 CET – SE Ninjas in Pyjamas vs. US compLexity Gaming
01:30 CET – ES OverGaming vs. US iBUYPOWER
04:00 CET – UA Natus Vincere vs. US Open Equal Free
04:00 CET – PL vs. US

June 28th - Saturday
17:30 CET – Upper bracket semi-finals
20:00 CET – Lower bracket round one
22:30 CET – Lower bracket semi-finals
01:00 CET – Upper bracket final
03:30 CET – Lower bracket final

June 29th - Sunday
17:30 CET – Consolidation final
20:00 CET – Grand final

UA Arseniy 'ceh9' Trynozhenko will most likely replace UA Ioan 'Edward' Sukhariev in team UA Natus Vincere for one or more matches, due to Edward having passport issues. Once Edward manage to reach the event, he will take his place.

All matches are set to double elimination best-of-three format. English stream will as usual be provided by the organizers and as well as GOTV services will be available for public, which also allows community streamers to broadcast the event in different languages. The following casters will be broadcasting the tournament live from Dallas:
