DHS 2014: Groups and schedule

ImageThe $30,000 DreamHack Summer 2014 tournament kicks off tomorrow. Groups and schedule are now available.

In less than twenty-four hours the prestige event DreamHack Summer 2014 will take place at Elmia Exhibition and Convention Centre in Jönköping, Sweden.

The tournament will feature total of sixteen teams, including our Counter-Strike division participating in. Twelve teams were directly invited originally, but few hours ago it was reported that the Swedish team SE TEAMGLOBAL , formerly known as LGB eSports pulled out from the competition due to the departure of SE Dennis 'dennis' Edman and SE Freddy 'KRiMZ' Johansson. The organizers decided to add one more spot to the already exciting two available via the BYOC qualifier to replace TEAMGLOBAL. The remaining last two spots were filled by SE Marcus 'Delpan' Larsson's SE Aligon and the Danish team DK Reason Gaming , who managed to secure a spot via the official closed online qualifier.

The groups and the teams participating are the following:



The tournament will be once again using the GSL group structure consisting of four groups of four teams each. The group stage is set to best-of-one double elimination format, while the upper bracket to best-of-three single elimination.

Two official streams will be provided by DreamHack, both in English. While not confirmed, it is likely to see community streams in other languages such as German and Russian as well. The official casting crew of the Swedish tournament consists of two experts and two play-by-play commentators. Responsible for your viewing experience will be:

This tournament will be the first LAN experiences for our new Counter-Strike team and we encourage our fans to support us during this extremely important for us event. Our first challenge will be the Swedish giant SE Fnatic , which we will meet tomorrow at 20:00 CET and later we will face the Polish pride PL Virtus.pro and/or the Norwegian team NO London Conspiracy .
