Yesterday the cinema, today a book, tomorrow the world? Writer for the New York Times, Michael Kane today released information about his upcoming book on esports: Game Boys. The book, due for American release in June, centers on the complexity-3D rivalry in the 18 months running up to the first CGS season. Coming off the back of the first full length movie on esports, Game Boys hopes to "reveal the entrepreneurial ingenuity involved in bringing gaming onto broadcast TV."

Having spent the period following round the likes of Frod and Ksharp the book should offer an accurate portrayal of these players as they quest for fame, fortune, and, er, more fortune. Ultimately it asks the question "are they the athletes of tomorrow?"

Game Boys is set for a US release on June 19. No European relese is planned at time of writing.
