Midwest Challenge with $50,000 CS 1.6 tournament

On July 2008, a new electronic sports event will be organized in St. Louis, United States, the Gateway City.

Between 10th - 13th July, gamers get candy as three top game titles will have tournaments at the Midwest Challenge (MWC) event. Call of Duty 4 and Counter-Strike 1.6 tournaments have both $50,000 prize purse, and 250 slots available for registration. Third game is Quake 3, where the best quakers divide $24,250 prize. Quake 3 tournament has 64 slots available. Online registration for the event is now open. Pre-registration will be opened on 10th July.

Midwest Challenge is a new organization promoting PC gaming competitions throughout the Midwest, as the MWC website (link via Fragbite) says. The event is planned to take place at the Gateway Convention Center, located in Collinsville, Illionois. Official announcement will be coming soon.
