e-Stars Seoul 2008 is a new digital culture festival, having its venue in the heart of Seoul, South-Korea, at the Seoul Trade Exhibition Center (SETEC). Schedule goes off between 24th - 27th July 2008. Event's official hosts, Seoul Metropolitan Government & Joongang Ilbo are proud to announce three different tournaments to the same event: Korean Game Asia Championship, Continental Cup and MBCgame StarCraft League Grand Finals. This is not all, as e-Party and Game Theme Park will be organized too.
Event will be broadcasted by its global media partners, providing the passion for fans.
What is Continental Cup?
Continental Cup is the first as its kind in the world of electronic sports. Organizers describe its similarity to RyderCup golf-tournament. Continental Cup's idea is to unite the world's best Counter-Strike 1.6 and WarCraft III gamers. Gamers will be sorted to Team East and Team West. After listing the teams will finally play against, and decide who will take the longest grab of the $75,000 dollars prize purse. Teams will be leaded by team managers, who also make team's strategies.
Fans will have chances to affect to teams players. Voting will be available between March 21st - April 20th. The chance through fan vote is 50%, Achievement of 2007 and 2008 20% and committee's decision 30%.
