Last tournament Nihilum finished third after getting knocked out by ShowTimed in the consolation final. Going in to this tournament, Nihilum made a slight lineup change as they removed their warlock (Dreadlol) in favour for their elemental shaman (Slot).
- "It was a spontanius decision by Phixus, which turned out good! We haven't even played the setup ever before, was just theorycrafting" says Nihilim's Warrior Hammee.
- "We just hated losing to rmpwd all the time and wanted a setup that could compete normally against that setup while not being too gimped against others at the same time. And it fits our gamestyle perfectly kinda." he continues.
Nihilum's road to the final
3-1 vs Ocean Madness (triheal w/ hunter)
3-0 vs Shake N Baked (2346)
3-0 vs Korea Starcraft Players (triheal w/ hunter)
2-3 vs WE RLY CARE (euro comp)
3-2 vs Shake N Baked (2346)
WE RLY CARE's road to the final
3-1 vs Kammen Goes to Hollywood (2346)
3-1 vs Dont daze me bro (euro comp)
3-0 vs Knockout (drain team)
3-2 vs Nihilum
We caught up with both teams to ask them for a prediction of tonights game.
Hammee (Warrior, Nihilum)
"We haven't been preparing that much and it could go either way, its impossible to predict anything. But we did improve a bit vs rmpwd since the last time we played em, thats for sure!"
Vexed (Mage, WE RLY CARE)
"Whenever we played Nihilum it's always been close so I think it could go either way in the finals. The setup, from our perspective, is a lot tougher than a standard 2346. We train shaman in both setups, and simply put, the burst they have controls (me atleast) alot more than a warlocks fears.I'm forced to play very defensive with warrior and hunter swapping to me every time I step into the open.
The hunter's frost trap makes it much harder for us to keep on the shaman especially considering we don't use a shadowstep a rogue. As he doesn't have cheat death theres also the possibility for them to gib our rogue - something a 2346 can't do so easily. With me forced behind pillars while they run out of los/range of my cs, and our rogue being kited all over the map it is much harder to get a kill. And that's basically what determines the outcome of the match - weather they can keep the shaman alive until they manage to burst someone down."
The match will most probably take place tonight around 20:00 CET, but nothing is 100% sure yet.
WE RLY CARE: Shader (Rogue), Vexed (Mage), Khavi (Warlock), Neala (Priest) & Cableguy (Druid)
Nihilum: Hammee (Warrior), Cherez (Hunter), Slot (Shaman), Phixus (Priest) & Heero (Paladin)
WE RLY CARE vs Nihilum (Match details)
Update: The match has been postponed to Wednesday.

(21:24:55) ([WRC]Shader) wednesday
Damn IRL.
are you serios ? ;) anyway gl hf
You can beat RMPWD as 2346. Is it harder? Probably. Can it be done? Yeah. Consistently? To a degree.
We've only fought WRC a few times, and whilst we've lost as well, we've also won a few that I can remember(Though the last time we fought it was a bit zzzzz, because I was playing like a downy).
"We train shaman in both setups"
It should be a lot easier by going for the hunter, I reckon. You can already contain a shaman's damage quite easily by using CoT/CC rotations.
Also, WRC are gimping themselves as well by not going ShS in the start of the tournament, especially vs hunter teams. :-\
I think this could've been a lot more interesting if Shader was ShS.
Combat as already said in tournament.
Probably shadowstep after tournament ;///
As I'm combat I can't afford getting stuck in too many frost traps. Going hunter will lead to it ;/
It'll take a while until the shaman get to it mmkay
/QQ end.
And btw. Match is postponed (once again) to Monday the 17th. Blame WRC's lock :
