ImageThe groupstage of the ESL Extreme Masters tournament is being finished today and SK continued their great roll as they managed to beat the Russian champions Virtus.pro with a comfortable score of 22-8.

The match was played on de_inferno and the knife round was won by SK who chose to begin as counter-terrorists.

The pistolround started off well for SK, who seemed to get the upper hand as they took over the B-halls with 3 people, which forced Virtus.pro to go slow A via the balcony. SK knew they were coming but Virtus managed to win the round after winning the very important aim duels.

Two save rounds later, SK came back into the game and managed to win their first round after an attempted B-split from Virtus.pro which GeT_RiGhT took care of after 2 great headshots in the CT base. After that SK kept winning rounds and went up to a 6-3 lead before Zeus managed to land 2 amazing headshots in the B-halls which later on lead to Virtus.pro getting two more rounds.

The SK captain walle picked up an AWP and played amazing during the whole half, as SK took the last rounds giving them a 10-5 lead after the first half.

SK started off right where they left at the first half, as they managed to pick up the very important pistol round after a nice fake-A to rush-B. Two saverounds later SK once again won a vital round, the fourth round and only lost 1 player. This forced Virtus to yet another saveround, where they bought deagles and decided to do it Russian-style, three quick headshots which was more than enough to win the round.

But once again the SK captain walle took the command and played amazing, as SK won two straight rounds giving them a 16-7 win. The teams had to finish all 30 rounds however, because of the round-difference in the group. The last 7 rounds were won by SK aswell, although most of them were just both teams facing eachother for random shots in the middle.

This means that SK tops group B with three straight wins. Their next and final group match will be against South Korean e-STRO at 19:45 CET.
