ClanBase have today opened the sign-ups and released information on the EuroCup XVII Spring edition for Call of Duty 4 and other games.Like every year, this spring is no exception and ClanBase have announced the opening of the EuroCup XVII and OpenCup with the games and prizes for this season. But despite everyone holding their thumbs up, there won't be any LAN finals this time.
So far this league has been the most prestigious online event for the Call of Duty series, and most likely will continue to be so as some of Europe's best teams will be taking part. The teams of SpeedLink, eSuba and KomaCrew have already signed up for the tournament, and are eagerly awaiting the start of it.
The prize pool for Call of Duty:
1st. 1000€
2nd. 400€
3rd. 250€
Note that the prizes are paid in Vouchers for Gamestop, one the world's largest video game supplier.

mm... nice :PpPPP
An example if you will!
CS:S has never gotten more money than CoD, nor has it had official LAN Finals, again, unlike CoD.
The differences from CS 1.6 to all other team games is just a joke. And it is hard to take a game serious as a professional eSports title if the money is not on a certain level.
so id say just enjoy that there is a well known tournament in the next time :)
About 2 years ago, maybe 3 years ago.. Even the MoHAA EuroCup had more prizemoney than the CoD4 EuroCup has now.
but I would also like to see LAN Finals and maybe even more prizemoney.. but well.. I hoep next season will be better
GL all :)
Usually the Springseason is the "big" EuroCup (prizemoney/LAN Finals in August etc).. and well, we're now in the springseason..
