The coming weekend may prove to be the most important one in the life of Christopher "GeT_RiGhT" Alesund. The Swedish upstart is facing the task of replacing the world's most popular Counter-Strike player in the most lucrative tournament of the season. In his debut for SK.As Abdisamad "SpawN" Mohamed stepped down from the scene several weeks ago, SK Gaming replaced him with the seventeen year old GeT_RiGhT. One of the best players in the history of the game was swapped for one of the most auspicious with everything ahead of him. And everything to prove as well.
But Christopher is not fazed by the challenge.
Christopher is the youngest on the team. He considers himself a "normal kid" that goes to school and tries to get his homework done on time. Playing sports like football and tennis was slowly cast aside by video games.
"I think that I'm more of a computer geek," he explains. "I do almost everything on the computer and I'm a fan of playing all kind of strange games that are out there."
Interestingly, his parents seem to have no problem with the nerdiness. They respect what GeT_RiGhT is doing, and even follow the Counter-Strike sites that write about him and the results of his teams.
This week they are going to follow SK's first major test with GeT_RiGhT at the Extreme Masters II competition in Hannover. The team spent two weeks boot camping together in order to be in the best possible shape for the prestigious event. In the team's strategy, Christopher is almost a direct replacement for SpawN.
The transition into the team is still work-in-progress. The newest on the team, GeT_RiGhT tends to stick to himself outside of the game and often finds his own ways of spending time.
"I think I'm the shy guy with the guys," explains Christopher. "I don't have much to say and just want to focus on the games ahead. "
In order to be accepted, he also has some trust to win.
Considering his expectations for Extrme Masters II, he does not hope but believes he was the right choice. On a bad day, he claims, the team should earn themselves a top four spot. On a good one he expects a top two finish.
"Well, you must have some faith in your own team. And if I look stupid after the event, sure. Maybe I will or not."
Does that make him look cocky? Maybe so. But would it also make him look like the right man in the right place?
But Christopher is not fazed by the challenge.
" I think that's big for me to be wearing Abdi's shoes as his replacement.”"
"I think that's big for me to be wearing Abdi's shoes as his replacement," he says. "Of course it puts pressure on me, but I think that I have overcome the 'fear' of it. I don't really think of it all the time."Christopher is the youngest on the team. He considers himself a "normal kid" that goes to school and tries to get his homework done on time. Playing sports like football and tennis was slowly cast aside by video games.

"" I think that I'm the guy who takes the first shot on the site."
I think they have giving me Abdi's tasks and I hope I'm doing great and not being a newbie," says GTR. "I think that I'm the guy who takes the first shot on the site or just follows what [Dennis] 'walle' [Wallenberg] says. I'm the 'support-everyone-and-make-the-team-win' guy."The transition into the team is still work-in-progress. "I think that I must prove something to allen and robban."
"I have been playing with walle and [Kristoffer] 'tentpole' [Nordlund] before. But I think that I must prove something to [Jimmy] 'allen' [Allen] and [Robert] 'robban' [Dahlstrom]," he adds. "I think that's kind of weird for them not to play with Abdi anymore and I was the replacement. But I hope they made the right choice."Considering his expectations for Extrme Masters II, he does not hope but believes he was the right choice.
