Sum of the Warcraft III race statistics has now been added on the Warcraft III channel page. The statistics include all matches we covered since the release of new SK website along with a few most important events played before such as WCG 2007, NGL Season IV and WC3L Season XII.
The statistics may come as a surprise to many people because the so called "imbalanced" race by the majority, Night Elf, actually has the lowest win ratio. Head over to Warcraft III channel page and check the statistics below the "Coverage" part!

oh wait, looks like random has 100% win ratio, omg imba!
To sum it up, win/lose ratio is dependent on wish player is playing, thus you can not say anything about wish race is the best based on win/lose ratio statistics.
P.S. Please take a Maths Statistics course and you might understand.
and i don't see where it says that race X is better than race Y, it just shows win/lose ratios, so, as far as im concerned, your post is completely useless... sorry =/
again: keep up the good work bds ; )
But in reality the lowest ratio, if you see in big tournament, it's :
Lowest : ORC
Second Lowest : UD
Third : HU
fourth : NE
So this statistic is a bit pointless to be honest, if you put a statistic from a Korean tournament, you'll see that Night Elves as the best Ratio.
Well, first of all, Korea is home traditionally to strong NE players, just like how Chinas is home to strong HU players, so of course Korean tournaments tend to result in higher % for NE players, just like how in china HU players dominate the scene.
But whatever, let's look at Korean tournaments, not that there are that many
WWW and AWL are about the only Korean tournaments that took place in 2007-2008 (not including Korean regional qualifiers for tickets to some international tournaments)
WWW : all won by Moon, 2nd place has NEVER been NE
so you get to wonder, why couldn't top NE players like Soju and Remind grab 2nd place if NE wins more than other races?
AWL : first season : NE mirror grand final
2nd season : Orc mirror grand final
So NE had as much success as Orc, which you say is the weakest race. Makes sense
Remember, Koreans don't have players like ToD and Sky, but they have Moon, so of course they have higher % for NE, but the big picture tells me that there NE isn't imba after all.
Maybe depending on maps, there are clear advantage/disadvantages, and there are also some MU issues, Orc > UD, UD > NE, etc etc
But it's impossible to lock every MU to be at 50%, obviously there will always be the pattern of Rock-Paper-Scissor no matter how hard Blizzard tries to balance the game, so deal with it, if some race had 65%, 60%, 63% in this statistics, you are welcome to whine, i would too. but there isn't
