Lars "Protois" Reichelt replaces his former teammate as the latter canceled his participation to the EM Finals today.Juha-Matti 'Satiini' Bäckström had been displaying fine performance during the three-month-long Extreme Maters' main round. He won four out of five matches in the group stage and clinched a berth to the final as first place.
His willingness to participate at a tournament outside Finland made headlines on Warcraft-related websites, as Satiini is notorious for never traveling to events. The Finnish player has never been seen at a tournament abroad and it does not look like the trend will end at CeBIT.
It is not his first time Satiini canceled participation to an offline event as he recently did not show up at the NGL Finals because of a personal problem and was released from mTw earlier today.
The Extreme Masters committee held a small substitution tournament shortly after the Finals relegation among René "Ciara" Krag, Lars "Protois" Reichelt and Yaraslau "NightWOlf" Kavetski. The German player earned ticket to CeBIT after claiming victory in this tournament.
He will replace the Finn in Group A together with his German fellow Dennis "HasuObs" Schneider, former SK player Mykhaylo "HoT" Novopashyn and two vigorous Orc players aka June "Lyn" Park and Manuel "Grubby" Schenkhuizen.

its not like moon made his money online
You don't have to attend LAN's and his dedication to the game shouldn't be criticised. The teams knowing full well he chooses not to attend events and the leagues which have off line finals should take the responsibility of not allowing him to participate. You've that right, exercise it.
The internet forms the majority of play in gaming (and always will), not attending LAN's doesn't make you any less of a player.
It's a shame really.
However, it does bug me that he says he will show up in the LAN event, and ends up doing otherwise. He can participate as long as he is accountable for his actions. He can mention to the organizers that he won't show up in the LAN early, not 1 week before the event, especially when the relegation finished almost a month ago.
Then again, I do realize that he probably tries his hardest to overcome whatever problem he has regarding this "phobia" of his. He probably has his heart set out to attend, but his nerves get the better of him when he knows the moment has arrived.
Really wanted to see him play on LAN, at that time when fnatic got to the finals! :(
I think he needs to build a strong relationship with some manager or player who can help him work round whatever his problem might be (I don't think it's simply a fear of flying). I mean, I know it's expensive, but a manager could go to his house and travel with him. I know if it was my first major event, I'd love to have someone there to help me, making sure I got the right transport at the right times etc.
Only way to get him to a event is to deal with him like A-Team did with Mr.T :D .. not funny tho :/
