Counter-Strike 2 to be announced this weekend?

ImageGametrailers.com will visit Valve this weekend for a live preview of Left 4 Dead. In their trailer they announce a "surprising statement" from Gabe Newell on Counter-Strike 2.

Counter-Strike was released in 1999 by Gooseman and Cliffe and is still one of the biggest esports games in history. Being recruited by Valve, they tried to release new games which could replace the old one. Counter-Strike: Condition Zero failed but Counter-Strike: Source is being widely played all over the world but still could not replace the actual Counter-Strike (1.6).

Now Gametrailers.com announced their visit to Valve in Seattle to actually take a look at a Behind the Scenes of Left 4 Dead and will also reveal a new map for Team Fortress 2. Additionally to that, it's said "Whats the latest on Counter-Strike 2? You maybe surprised what Gabe Newell has to say".

Does this mean a new Counter-Strike is being developed again being released next to Counter-Strike and Counter-Strike: Source? Or is it Gabe Newell just declining new rumours? We will see what he has to say about this on Friday night.
