Today the Seedings for the Samsung European Championship have been released with Sweden being seeded first right before Poland.

The Samsung European Championship will take place at the CeBIT in Hannover next week from 7th to 9th with 16 different countries participating. Today the Seedings have been released with Sweden (fnatic) being first followed by Poland (MYM) and then Finland (roccat). It will be interesting to see how the teams perform at the SEC due to playing the ESL Extreme Masters Finals at the same time which means some of them have a very tight schedule.

The SEC will start on Friday morning and some great matches can be watched on day 1 already in the Winnerbracket Round 2 where Sweden could meet Germany and Finland facing Poland. Below you can see the seedings:

so why ECG takes teams which was qualified for WCG ? If they think the better team is not the team which won WCG ? (so there was better team to invite @ ECG...)

It's rather clear : why SEC does not trust the ranking of the main event WCG? Like CPL used to have their own ranking systems, and the winner of the Summer was often high seeded for the winter (like SK in CPLW 2005 evenif there were not supposed to be the best team before the competition compared to coL etc). It seems weird that SEC doesn't use (at least partially) the ranking of the WCG. Easy to understand :) Anyway all the teams above emL are also very good so we will see :)
